Makeup tip!

If you don’t have very defined lips (like me), try reverse lip lining! This is when you use concealer, or even foundation, to line just outside the lips, and blend outward! It will help even out the skin tone and also help prevent lipstick bleeding!

Makeup tip!

When applying makeup, try applying like on like! This means liquid on liquid, powder on powder! Applying a liquid over a powder, or a powder over a liquid, can sometimes give an uneven texture to your skin and take away from your whole look. Of course, you can apply powder onto liquids (this is just a general guide); just practice and find what products and methods work best for you :)

Inglot’s new addition to their Freedom System lipsticks. These are very creamy and only $5.00 each! FYI: I’m in the US so I only have the product availability information for the US stores. If you’re international, I’d call your local Inglot boutique before going to the physical location.

Tomorrow!

What is the meaning of this?! This is so good! So excited! Yay Inglot!

butterfliesxandxhurricanes asked: Hiya! So I'm going to be a bridesmaid in a wedding in April. I'm trying not to spend a lot of money getting my hair and makeup professionally done. I can do my hair on my own, no problem. I'm pretty good with makeup, but could use some advice. What would you advise for my makeup to look super fabulous? Any looks or products you'd recommend? The bride would like us to stay neutral in our makeup, because we're wearing blue.

Hi! Thanks for the question :)
Do you have some neutral eyeshadows you can use for the day? If you don’t, you could try an inexpensive little palette like one of Bourjois’ which I’ve heard good things about. Also look into an eyeshadow primer to keep it on all day. Same goes for lips, find your favourite colour (may be best to stick to a natural lip colour) and try to get it from an inexpensive brand like Rimmel or Maybelline, you can bring it with you on the day so longevity won’t be too much of an issue. For base, I’d suggest a primer for your skin type (oily, dry etc) to help it last longer. If you have a favourite foundation use that, otherwise pick one with the coverage you’d like that’s also specific to your skin type! Maybelline SuperStay (I think that’s the name) is pretty full coverage and lasts well. Get a compact of powder for touch ups on the day, and/or some blotting papers ( you can also use tissues), or for a cheaper but not as compact alternative, Ben Nye translucent powder if you can get it. Powder your face lightly all over, pop on some blush and, if you like, highlight and contour, and you’re ready to go! Hope that answers your question :)

Makeup tip!

If you want defined eyes but find you loose a lot of eyelid space when using eyeliner on your lids, try tightlining! This means applying liner just underneath your upper lashes! It will help your lashes look fuller and darker but without loosing precious lid space!
